The production of paper for insulation of high-voltage cables is high-tech. State-of-the-Art equipment and highly skilled and experienced operators are essential success-factors. With the long tradition and dedication of Munksjö Electrotechnical Papers comes a determination to service our customers with papers meets todays requirements. The first commercial delivery of insulating paper was in 1909 but with continuous improvement, cellulose papers impregnated in oil makes outstanding insultaion for high voltage applications. Grids up to 1200 kVolts are designed exclusively with paper insulated components.

Our up to date equipment combined with skilled and experienced staff is up for the challenge of producing todays papers for tomorrows insulation.

Throughout the years our own laboratory has created a number of different qualities, but mostly, we produce against the specifications from the customers. During and after the production the paper is tested against the specification and a test report is carried out. Today we produce paper for industrial norms from all over the world. Since 1997 Munksjö is certified according to ISO 9001:2000.

The technical requirements are extremely high, both on the finished paper and on the production facility. To avoid energy losses in the end products, the paper must be free of mechanical and chemical impurities.
