According to Swedish Environmental Law, Munksjö Paper AB, Billingsfors is a so called ”A”-class mill. The business and its environmental work are therefore controlled by decisions (conditions) made by the Environmental Court. The regional authority – “Länsstyrelsen i Västra Götaland”, maintains continuous supervision.

Munksjö Paper AB, Billingsfors is equipped with its own Environmental laboratory. The company also has one by Swedac accredited Environmental Laboratory according to ISO 17025:2005 to taking of specimens and analyses of waste water. The results are collated every four months and annually in Environmental reports. An independent, officially approved Environmental consultant controls the mill’ s activities annually.

Munkjsö Paper AB, Billingsfors, has been authorized to effluent carbon dioxide from its combustion installations and consequently it has been contributed special amounts of emission rights and therefore every year is subjected to verification of the measuring system for amount of carbon dioxide by an accredited control organization.

All Munksjö Paper AB, Billingsfors products are produced according to agreed Customer specifications. The basic raw material, timber, is bought from well-known local suppliers, many of them certified. All other raw materials are controlled upon agreed specifications. All suppliers are evaluated according to agreed specifications. As the manufacture of chips, pulp, paper, printing and coating is controlled within the mill a customer specification can be transferred to specifications for each part process. All products are finally controlled against product specifications.
