\nManfred Bracher is appointed CEO of Munksj\u00f6, effective May 1st, 2023.
\nWith the company entering its next growth phase as the first
\nmanufacturer solely dedicated to decor paper, Manfred will succeed
\ncurrent CEO Tomas Wulkan, who has led Munksj\u00f6 since 2018, first as
\na division of Ahlstrom-Munksjo and most recently as an independent
\ncompany. Tomas will support Manfred during 2023 to ensure a smooth
\nCEO transition and retire at the end of the year.
\nManfred Bracher has a long experience in specialty materials and coating
\nbusiness, having most recently served as COO of Surteco and, before
\nthat, as Executive Vice President of Hygiene & Industrial of RKW and
\nManaging Director of Clopay Europe. The Austrian executive is an
\nEngineer and holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics and Business
\nManagement from the University of Leoben.
\nTomas Wulkan has been instrumental in leading the spinoff process where Munksj\u00f6 Paper AB became an
\nindependent company majority owned by Ahlstr\u00f6m Capital. Based on his deep industrial and commercial
\nunderstanding, he provided Munksj\u00f6 with a strategic direction and strengthened the company as a global
\nleader in our industry. Tomas\u2019 career spans over 30 years in fiber-based materials, including long tenures
\nat SCA, Essity and Ahlstrom-Munksj\u00f6.
