Munksjö is featured in relevant furniture industry publications

Munksjö was recently featured in two respected industry magazines: “Möbelfertigung” from Germany and “Setor Moveleiro” from Brazil. Both articles were based on interviews with our executives and provide  valuable insights into Munksjö’s strategic vision, commitment to innovation, and sustained growth within the global furniture sector.

To the German magazine “Möbelfertigung,” Munksjö’s CEO, Dr. Manfred Bracher, and VP Sales & Marketing, Florian Mayer, provided a comprehensive overview of the company’s current strategic direction and market outlook. They highlighted the stable yet cautious market in Europe, contrasting it with the dynamic growth observed in Asia, the Pacific, and the Americas.

The discussion addressed sector-wide challenges such as demand fluctuations and global overcapacity. Munksjö’s response emphasizes a strong focus on customer service and close collaboration to navigate these complexities.

“The close dialogue with our customers shows: demand for tailor made solutions, more flexibility and smaller order sizes continues to grow”, shared Florian Mayer

The interview also delved into the company’s strategic investments in solid-color decor papers and advancements in pre-impregnated products, designed to enhance sustainability and product performance. Notably, the article highlighted the significant modernization of Paper Machine 7 in Caieiras, Brazil, which has doubled Munksjö’s decor paper capacity in Latin America, turning the Brazilian plant into a global supply platform.

When it comes to the Brazilian publication “Setor Moveleiro”, it shone a spotlight on Munksjö’s proactive decision to expand its production capacity amidst economic uncertainties. Dr. Bracher explained the rationale behind these strategic investments, emphasizing that decisions are guided by market demand, customer proximity, technological progress, and operational resilience.

It further underscored the company’s dedication to innovation, citing the development of formaldehyde-free pre-impregnated papers as an example of its commitment to sustainable

solutions. The expansion in Brazil was showcased as a key strategic move, strengthening regional operations and positioning Caieiras as a crucial hub for both domestic and export markets.

“Daring to take risks can also result in a stronger position when the market recovers.”, said Dr. Bracher.

The piece concluded by illustrating how Munksjö’s strategic planning, even in uncertain periods, builds resilience and generates long-term value.

These recent features are a testament to Munksjö’s unwavering commitment to innovation, customer partnership, and sustainable growth.
