Munksjö Tolosa is awarded by its diligent implementation of the EMAS

We are delighted to share that our plant in Tolosa, Spain, has been awarded for its diligent implementation of the EMAS Environmental Management System, promoted by the European Union, since 2000 – for over 20 years!

EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) is a tool that recognizes and certifies organizations that have adopted an environmental management system with a commitment to continuous improvement, evaluated through independent audits. The award was presented to us by Arantxa Tapia, Minister of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque Government, on September 27, during an event held for the hundred organizations in the Basque Country that have the EMAS. Munksjö was represented by Iñaki Munduate, Plant Manager Munksjö Tolosa, and Aitor Mier, HSE Director.
