With the support of €203,600 from FEDER funds, Munksjö is pleased to announce that have successfully completed the rebuild of the vacuum system at one of its paper machines at the Tolosa plant in Spain. This project’s basis has been replacing 10 Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps with a cutting-edge, market-leading Turbo Blower, which offers much more energy efficiency with savings of over 30%.

The initiative is in line with Munksjö’s commitment to continuously improve our operations to offer  quality solutions in an increasingly sustainable way. The aid obtained from FEDER funds is an incentive and an important driver of the activity, as it reduces the company’s costs in the project and the payback time.

“The support obtained under the Support Program for Energy Efficiency Actions in SMEs and Large Companies in the Industrial Sector for the years 2019 and 2020, with the financial support of the European Union, meant for Munksjö a substantial  support of the total amount invested in the project, and an important acceleration in the pace of project implementation”, comments Iñaki Munduate, Tolosa’ s plant manager.

Con el apoyo de 203.600 € de Fondos FEDER, nos complace anunciar que hemos completado con éxito la reconstrucción del sistema de vacío en una de nuestras máquinas de papel en la planta de #Tolosa en España. La base de este proyecto ha sido la sustitución de 10 Bombas de Vacío de Anillo Líquido por un Turbo Soplador de última generación, líder en el mercado, que ofrece mucha más eficiencia energética con ahorros superiores al 30%.

La iniciativa está en línea con nuestro compromiso de mejorar continuamente nuestras operaciones para ofrecer soluciones de calidad de una manera cada vez más sostenible. La ayuda obtenida de los fondos FEDER es un incentivo y un importante motor de la actividad, ya que reduce los costes de la empresa en el proyecto y el tiempo de amortización.

“El apoyo obtenido en el marco del Programa de Apoyo a Actuaciones de Eficiencia Energética en Pymes y Grandes Empresas del Sector Industrial para los años 2019 y 2020, con el apoyo financiero de la Unión Europea, supuso para Munksjö un apoyo sustancial del importe total invertido en el proyecto, y una importante aceleración en el ritmo de ejecución del proyecto”, comenta Iñaki Munduate, director de planta de Tolosa.
